In the long-term, this solution will help to keep your stored products safe from moth damage.

Key Facts:

  • Uses synthetically produced pheromones to disrupt the moth life cycle, reducing moth populations.
  • An environmentally friendly solution offering continual control that is non-toxic, with no risk of pesticide contamination of products.

Kyansur forest disease

Insect: tick
Organism: Flavivirus, Kyansur forest disease virus.

The disease is restricted to southern India, where there are 4-500 cases a year, although similar fevers are thought to occur in Russia (Russian spring-summer encephalitis and Omsk haemorrhagic fever). Human infection can occur through a tick bite or from contact with small rodents and especially monkeys, in which it was first discovered in 1957.

Symptoms include high fever, headaches and haemorrhagic symptoms — bleeding of the nose, throat, gums and gastrointestinal bleeding. A vaccine is available but there is no specific treatment and full recovery can take months.
